Several people injured in Myrtle Beach shootings

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — An early Sunday morning shooting in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, a popular vacation destination for many West Virginians, has left multiple people injured.

In all, eight people were hurt in three separate shootings this weekend in some of Myrtle Beach’s busiest tourist areas, according to The Sun News.

At least one of the shootings was captured in a Facebook Live video.

Myrtle Beach Police said an arrest was made after the suspected gunman carjacked a vehicle on Ocean Boulevard.

Myrtle Beach Mayor John Rhodes called the shooting “damaging to the city’s desired reputation as a family friendly destination,” the newspaper reported on Monday.
