Spring Valley’s Nester includes Alabama, Ohio State, WVU in top 5

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Highly recruited Spring Valley rising junior offensive lineman Doug Nester this week announced his top five schools.

In no particular order, Nester listed Virginia Tech, Ohio State, Florida, West Virginia and Alabama.

“I would like to thank God for giving me this opportunity and everything he has done for me,” Nester tweeted. “I would like to thank my family, friends and coaches for being so supportive and helping me through this process.

“Thank you to all the other schools and coaches that have given me the opportunity to play at their school as well,” he continued. “With that being said, I am going to focus on these five schools.”

Nester stands in at 6-foot-6, 295 pounds and just added the offer from Alabama and Nick Saban last week. Nester’s teammate, tight end Jacob Cassidy, committed to Marshall last week for the 2018 recruiting class.
