Charleston woman killed in Kanawha County crash

CROSS LANES, W.Va. — A Charleston woman was killed in a Thursday night car crash in Cross Lanes, Kanawha County sheriff’s deputies said.

Sharry Lynn Cobb, 53, was trapped in her car after an accident on Big Tyler Road near the intersection with Klondike Road at approximately 8:40 p.m.

Cobb’s vehicle was headed south on Big Tyler Road and ran off the left side of the road in a right hand curve. The car went over an embankment.

Emergency crews found Cobb unresponsive and she was pronounced dead at the scene after attempts to revive her were unsuccessful.

A cause for the crash is under investigation.
