Wayne County man arrested following multiple break ins

WAYNE, W.Va. — A Wayne County man has been arrested following multiple thefts in West Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio.

Corey Harless of Wayne

Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Corey Lee Harless of Wayne, Friday after they pulled over his vehicle, which matched the description of a crime that happened at a Lavalette gas station earlier in the week.

According to a criminal complaint, Harless used two different credit cards that did not belong to him.

Deputies found stolen wallets, credit card and cellphones among other items inside Harless’ car.

Authorities say Harless is connected to a string of thefts from vehicles along Route 10 in Cabell County, as well as other break ins outside of West Virginia.
