Bond to lead Probation Services Division

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Stephanie Bond will be the new Director of Probation Services, West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals Chief Justice Allen Loughry announced Wednesday.

Stephanie Bond

Bond, a native of Clarksburg, has served as director of the Division of Juvenile Services since July 2014, beginning as interim director in February 2013.

Bond will replace Mike Lacy, who will retire on June 30 after 15 years as director and 30 total years working in the Probation Services Division.

“Stephanie Bond has a wealth of experience and a deep respect for probation officers and the people the division serves,” Loughry said. “Her reputation for fairness and strong leadership skills is well-known throughout the state, and we are excited to have her join our judicial family.”

Bond previously served as superintendent of the Kenneth “Honey” Rubenstein Juvenile Center in Davis. She has also taken part in the Governor’s Intergovernmental Task Force on Juvenile Justice.
