BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — Harrison County sheriff’s deputies have three people in custody for allegedly assaulting a woman at a Bridgeport home.

Those arrested include: Darrell Wageman, 40, of Bridgeport; David Barker, 27, of Dola; and Amanda Littleton, 27, of Hughes Camp. All three people were charged with assault during the commission of a felony, strangulation and conspiracy.

The motive of the assault is believed to be drug-related.

The incident happened last month at a home on Meadowbrook Road. Deputies issued a search warrant Thursday.

According to a news release from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, the woman was beaten and held against her will for a period of time until she was able to get away.

The woman was treated for her injuries at United Hospital Center, then transferred to Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was released on Thursday.

Deputies say more arrests are expected in the case as the investigation continues.
