Deputies seek information in Grant County death

PETERSBURG, W.Va. — The Grant County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s help in connection with the death of a Petersburg man.

According to the department, the body of Bobby Lee Shoemaker was found along Welton Orchard Road on July 14. It’s believed Shoemaker died July 10 as the result of a hit and run or possible homicide.

Deputies are looking for a maroon Chevy S-10 with windshield or other damage.
