The damages in 11 counties now total more than $10 million, according to information released by the DOH Friday. That’s approximately $3 million in additional damages from the first release.
Damage numbers are growing in Wetzel ($2.5 million) and Marshall ($3 million) counties. The agency said the numbers would likely continue to go up as the reviews continue.
The state plans to seek a federal disaster declaration for at least seven counties for public assistance and four counties for individual assistance.
