Man struck, killed in downtown Charleston

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A Kanawha County man died Friday after being struck in downtown Charleston.

The Charleston Police Department identified the victim as 24-year-old Harley David Meadows of Charleston.

Meadows was struck at the intersection of 7th Avenue and Rebecca Street around 2:45 p.m.

According to police, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and provided a statement to officers. No charges have been filed at this time.
