Bowling Green natives ‘Cage the Elephant’ to headline WVU’s FallFest

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Alternative-rock band Cage the Elephant will headline FallFest, WVU’s annual start-of-the-semester concert.

The show will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15 and will include performances from Atlanta-based rapper 21 Savage and LA-based producer/DJ RL Grime. Cage the Elephant, a Bowling Green, Kentucky based band, will close the show.

FallFest is free and open to WVU Students only. Students must present their valid WVU Student ID to enter. Gates open at 4:00 p.m. WVU students are permitted one guest age 17 or older.

Buses will run continuously between the Mountainlair and the Evansdale Residential Complex from 4:00 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. The PRT will run until 10:15 p.m. Free parking will be available beginning at 3 p.m. in WVU Short Term Lot ST9 across from the Art Museum and in WVU Short Term Lot ST1 off Patteson Drive.

This is an alcohol-free event. Legal beverages will not be available for purchase. Concert-goers should note that no smoking will be permitted in accordance with WVU’s tobacco-free campus policy.

No purses, backpacks, or bags of any kind will be permitted inside the FallFest gates. Glow sticks and selfie sticks are also prohibited. As an additional safety measure, all concert-goers will be subject to a random security check and wanding before entering the gates.
