26 people in Fayette County sought following drug investigations

FAYETTEVILLE, W.Va. — The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and Central West Virginia Drug Task Force obtained warrants for more than two dozen people in regards to drug investigations.

Sheriff Mike Fridley and Fayette County Prosecuting Attorney Larry Harrah said the 26 warrants come after several weeks of investigation into drug trafficking crimes.

The people facing charges are:

— Gregory Skaggs, 50, of Anstead, on three counts of delivery of a controlled substance;
— Paul Adkins, 50, of Oak Hill, on three counts of delivery of a controlled substance;
— Michael Dougan, 28, of Oak Hill, on two counts of delivery of a controlled substance;
— Shannon Carte, 46, of Victor, on two counts of delivery of a controlled substance;
— Christopher Layne, 43, of Victor, on four counts of delivery of a controlled substance;
— Jerry Beaver, 45, of Scarbro, on three delivery of a controlled substance;
— Bobbie Bickford, 40, of Rosedale Trailer Park in Oak Hill, on two counts of delivery of a controlled substance and a count of conspiracy to commit a felony;
— Chris Burnette, 21, of Meadow Bridge, on two counts of delivery of a controlled substance;
— Wesley Bowles, 33, of Meadow Bridge, on two counts of delivery of a controlled substance;
— Jamie Baker, 44, of Rosedale Trailer Park in Oak Hill, on two counts of delivery of a controlled substance and one count of conspiracy to commit a felony;
— Raymond Howells Jr., 40, of Gauley Bridge, on two counts of delivery of a controlled substance;
— James Housley, 46, of Smithers, on one count of delivery of a controlled substance;
— William Chapman, 32, of Mount Carbon, on one count of delivery of a controlled substance and one count of conspiracy to commit a felony;
— Brittany Hopkins, 23, of Mount Carbon, on one county of delivery of a controlled substance and one county of conspiracy to commit a felony;
— Justin Stanley, 32, of Fayetteville, on two counts of delivery of a controlled substance;
— Tyson Kincaid, 41, of Mount Hope, on one count of delivery of a controlled substance;
— Brittany Clough Williams, 26, of Powellton, on one count of delivery of a controlled substance;
— Amanda Brown, 37, of Belva, on two counts of delivery of a controlled substance;
— Joey Oiler, 46, of Smithers, on two counts of delivery of a controlled substance;
— Russell Lee Taylor, 41, of Mount Hope, on two counts of delivery of a controlled substance and one count of conspiracy to commit a felony;
— Penny Browning, 24, of Oak Hill, one count of delivery of a controlled substance and one count of conspiracy to commit a felony;
— Freddie McCallister Jr., 44, of Fayetteville, on two counts of delivery of a controlled substance;
— Joshua Luke Jarrett, 26, of Fayetteville, on three counts of delivery of a controlled substance;
— Kevin Browning, 48, of Oak Hill, on two counts of delivery of a controlled substance;
— Roger Ingram, 39, of Oak Hill, on two counts of delivery of a controlled substance; and
— Robert Newman, 51, of Victor, on two counts of delivery of a controlled substance.

“Drugs are a scourge in every community across our County,” Fridley said. “We are constantly working to identify and arrest individuals engaged in the sale and delivery of dangerous drugs.”

Dougan, Newman, Howells and Stanley were arrested Wednesday. Stanley also faces two additional felony counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. He had both methamphetamine and diazepam in his possession when he was arrested.

All four had their bond set at $35,000.
