Connor Neal’s four scores lead No. 2 Fairmont Senior over RCB

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — Class AA No. 2 Fairmont Senior rolled to a 35-14 win over Robert C. Byrd on Thursday night, starting off the 2017 high school football season in the SSAC Kickoff Classic.

In his first game as a starter, junior quarterback Connor Neal rushed for a score and threw touchdowns to Caleb Walker, Antonio Parsons and Bryson Gilbert.

Gilbert added another score on the ground for the Polar Bears (1-0), who are coming off last season’s finish as state runners-up.

Fairmont Senior will host Lewis County next week, while Robert C. Byrd (0-1) welcomes Lincoln.
