Two in custody after Fayette County shooting, robbery attempt

FAYETTEVILLE, W.Va. — A woman shot during a robbery attempt in Fayette County late Monday night returned fire, investigators with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department said.

Angelia Jones was shot in the lower stomach during an alleged attempted robbery at a residence on Gatewood Road. Jones managed to grab a gun from one of the suspects and fire several shots. Three men and juvenile girl took off, police said.

Police later learned Jarrell Green, 21, suffered gunshot wounds to his legs and was being treated at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill. He was charged with attempted robbery and conspiracy. Police arrested a second suspect Tuesday morning, Michael Ray Hodge, 19, of Oak Hill. They are still looking for Bryan Keith Allen, 28, of Oak Hill and the underage girl.

Jones was in stable condition at Charleston Area Medical Center Tuesday afternoon.
