Turnpike wreck slows traffic

SHARON, W.Va. — A two-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer and a jeep slowed holiday weekend traffic southbound on the West Virginia Turnpike Friday morning.

The tractor-trailer jackknifed near the Sharon exit in Kanawha County at about 10:45 a.m.

The force of the collision with the jeep sent that vehicle over the median wall and into the northbound lane.

There were initial reports of injuries.

State police are investigating the crash.
