Suspect sought in weekend shooting in Huntington

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — A man is being sought for a Saturday morning shooting in Cabell County. Huntington Police say the incident happened about 1 a.m. Saturday near an apartment building on Williams Avenue.

The suspect is identified as Quentin Avery Sheffield. He’s facing two counts of malicious wounding for the shooting of a man and woman. Police say one of the victim faces life-threatening injuries.

Investigators believe Sheffield and the victims are acquainted and drugs were found in the apartment.
