SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Class AAA No. 7 Cabell Midland bounced back from a close loss to Cincinnati Anderson, Ohio in Week 1 with a 49-17 win over No. 8 South Charleston in Week 2.
The Knights were led by junior Griffin Adkins who totaled 208 rushing yards and three touchdowns, while Ivan Vaughn added 187 yards and three scores on the ground as well.

Adkins, who last played running back as a freshman, received those extra carries in place of Isaiah Duncan who was dealing with a medical issue late this week.
In all, the Knights (1-1) totaled nearly 440 rushing yards in the win. South Charleston dropped to 1-1 with the loss.
