Task force charges 13 in Harrison County heroin sweep

STONEWOOD, W.Va. — 13 people are facing charges in Harrison County following the recovery of 89 stamps of heroin in the Stonewood area.

Bridgeport Police Chief John Walker reported Wednesday morning The Greater Harrison County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force had arrested 11 of the 13 individuals they were seeking.

In addition to the heroin, police confiscated approximately $1,000 in cash, a half pound of marijuana, and 23 firearms.

The majority of the arrests are connected to recent heroin/fentanyl cases.
