Shinnston man charged following police pursuit

SHINNSTON, W.Va. — A Shinnston man is facing charges of felony fleeing after an early Thursday morning police pursuit that ended in a vehicle accident.

Jeffrey Blair was the driver of the vehicle that police began to pursue around 1 a.m. in Shinnston.

Shinnston Police’s Patrolman Travis said the pursuit crossed into Marion County before returning back to Harrison County, where Blair crashed his vehicle on Lucas Road near Shinnston. No injuries were reported.

Travis said that authorities are not releasing any information on what led to the pursuit at this time.
