Two in Monongalia County face charges connected to multiple shopping center thefts

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Two people are facing charges following vehicle larcenies and other crimes committed in shopping centers throughout the Morgantown area.

Detectives with the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office arrested Robet Klingensmith, 25, of Morgantown and Abigail Barrow, 22, of Morgantown on multiple felony charges connected to larcenies at Glenmark Center, Suncrest Town Centre, and Cheat Lake areas of Monongalia County.

Both were taken into custody following a short foot pursuit outside of a North Hills area residence.

Klingensmith is charged with domestic battery and destruction of property, transferring and receiving stolen property, access device fraud, and conspiracy. Two of those charges stem from investigations undertaken by West Virginia State Police and the Westover Police Department. His bond is set at $25,000.

Barrow is charged with five counts of uttering fraudulent checks, two counts of identity fraud, and access device fraud. Her bond is set at $15,000.

Additional charges are pending against both Klingensmith and Barrow.
