1 injured after plane from Yeager strikes vehicle at Charlotte airport

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was injured Wednesday at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport after a plane arriving from Charleston’s Yeager Airport struck a tug.

According to WBTV, it happened around 4 p.m.

The plane had left Charleston after 2:30 p.m.

Officials said the driver of the tug was taxiing to the gate at the time. They were taken to a hospital and were reported in stable condition.

The people on American Airlines Flight 5233 — 31 passengers and three crew members — were not injured.
