DOH truck stolen, on fire in Elkins

ELKINS, W.Va. — West Virginia State Police is investigating a Monday night theft from the Division of Highways that resulted in a DOH truck on fire.

West Virginia State Police said it appears that a pair of buildings on the DOH District 8 property, located just outside Elkins on U.S. 219, had been entered. A 2014 Chevrolet F-250 crew cab was stolen from the property.

The stolen truck was rammed through the gate and was later found behind NAPA Auto Parts, located on Harrison Avenue in Elkins, on fire.
