One dead following police-involved shooting in Braxton County

BRAXTON COUNTY, W.Va. — One person is dead following an officer-involved shooting Thursday morning.

The shooting occurred in the Upper Sleith area of Braxton County.

According to West Virginia State Police, the troopers involved in the shooting were not hurt.

The Braxton County Sheriff’s Department and Gassaway Police Department also reported to the scene.
