Beckley man accused of setting woman on fire

BECKLEY, W.Va. — A man who police say poured gasoline on a woman then set her on fire is in custody.

Dwayne Michael Lane, 47 of Beckley.

Dwayne Michael Lane, 47 of Beckley, went missing after the incident prompting a manhunt.  The Beckley Police Department said the incident occurred at around 1 a.m. Sunday along Earle Street. Lane was captured at around 5 p.m. Sunday.

The department has not released the victim’s identity but she is believed to be Lane’s girlfriend.

She is listed under critical condition in a Pittsburgh hospital.

Lane will face multiple charges including attempted murder.  He is currently being held at Southern Regional Jail in Raleigh County.
