Beckley man accused of setting woman on fire faces additional charges

BECKLEY, W.Va. — A man who allegedly poured gasoline on a woman then set her on fire now faces additional charges.

Dwayne Michael Lane, 47 of Beckley, went missing after the incident prompting a manhunt.  The Beckley Police Department said the incident occurred at around 1 a.m. Sunday along Earle Street. Lane was captured at around 5 p.m. Sunday.

On Tuesday, the Beckley Police Department announced Lane faces additional charges of Kidnapping, Third Degree Arson, Arson Causing Serious Bodily Injury and two counts of Gross Child Neglect with the Risk of Serious Injury.  Lane is also charged with attempted murder.  Two children were reportedly present during the crime.

Belinda Cox is listed under critical condition at a Pittsburgh hospital.

The victim has recently been identified as Belinda Cox.  She is listed under critical condition at a Pittsburgh hospital.

Lane is currently being held at Southern Regional Jail in Raleigh County on $1 million bond.
