Human remains discovered in Cabell County river

CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. — An autopsy could help Huntington Police identify the human remains found Saturday afternoon in the Guyandotte River.

A fisherman made the discovery near a boat ramp not far from the Ohio River, according to investigators.

Huntington Police said the remains were sent to the West Virginia Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for identification.
