Arrest made for afternoon shots fired call on Wheeling Island

WHEELING, W.Va. — An Ohio man is facing a charge of attempted murder in Ohio County for allegedly opening fire in an alley on Wheeling Island.

Wheeling Police said no one was hurt when gunshots rang out Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 26 on S. Huron Street.

The arrest of the shooting suspect, Walter K. Morgan, 28, of Cleveland, came on Friday.

No one was hurt.

After reviewing surveillance video, investigators said they believed Morgan was targeting a man who was taking out his trash.

As of Saturday, Morgan was being held in the Northern Regional Jail on $100,000 cash only bond.
