Boone County man dies after struck by vehicle

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A Boone County man is identified as the victim of a deadly pedestrian accident along U.S Route 119 in Kanawha County.

South Charleston Police say Herbert Lee Canterbury, 46, of Madison was killed late Sunday evening when he was struck while walking along Corridor G. Investigators say Canterbury was walking southbound along the shoulder when he was struck around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

The driver is cooperating with the investigation but has not been charged. Authorities have not released the name of the driver.
