Justice announces appointment to Division of Juvenile Services

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Gov. Jim Justice has appointed William Marshall as the director of the Division of Juvenile Services under the West Virginia Department of Military Affairs.

Military Affairs and Public Safety Secretary Jeff Sandy announced on Wednesday the appointment regarding the agency, which provides programs and treatment for at-risk youth.

Marshall served 25 years with the West Virginia State Police and had earned commendations from the U.S. Department of Justice for his investigative work. He served as commander of the Wood County detachment until his retirement earlier this year.

He was named in July as the director of the state Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety’s Corrections Investigations Division.
