WHEELING, W.Va. — Washington (AAA), Wyoming East (AA) and Ravenswood (A) all won golf state championships on Wednesday from Oglebay.
Washington in Class AAA finished 22 shots ahead of last year’s state champion Cabell Midland. Wyoming East, meanwhile, won its second straight Class AA championship, finishing 11 shots better than runner-up Fairmont Senior.
Ravenswood’s Class A title dethroned Charleston Catholic, which had won six straight championships. The Red Devils beat runner-up Madonna by 17 strokes.
Washington’s Christian Boyd (AAA), Bridgeport’s Mason Williams (AA) and Madonna’s Howie Peterson (A) were the individual medalists.
