Harrison County teacher arrested for erratic behavior

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — A female employee of Harrison County Schools has been arrested following erratic behavior.

Harrison County Schools Superintendent Dr. Mark Manchin said that a teacher was acting erratically during school hours Wednesday and a sobriety test was performed.

“By the time she got home, she was acting very belligerent, and at that point she was arrested,” Manchin said.

The teacher’s identity is not being released at this time, but Harrison County Schools is taking action.

“We are aware of it and we are taking the appropriate steps,” Manchin said. “We are actually having a meeting with her tomorrow.”
