Mountainlair back open after reported bomb threat

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The West Virginia University Police Department confirmed on social media just after 10 p.m. Friday evening that the Mountainlair is safe following a reported bomb threat.

The building was evacuated before 9:30 Friday night, and all people were asked to avoid the area. Police finished their sweep of the building shortly after 10 p.m.

The building is once again open for student activity. It’s Homecoming Weekend at WVU.
