George Washington QB Grant Wells commits to Marshall

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — George Washington junior quarterback Grant Wells on Saturday announced his commitment to Marshall’s 2019 recruiting class.

“I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me through this process,” Wells tweeted. “After talks with my family and friends, I’ve decided to continue my academic and football career at Marshall University. I want to thank Coach Holliday and the entire coaching staff at Marshall for giving me the opportunity to live out my dream.”

Wells is 94 of 198 passing on the season for 1,316 yards, eight touchdowns and five interceptions. He threw for over 2,200 yards and 26 touchdowns last year as a sophomore.

He picked the Herd over another D-I offer from Charlotte.

George Washington is 5-3 on the year, coming off of a 21-14 win over Riverside this past week.
