CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Class AAA No. 12 Hurricane beat No. 9 George Washington on Friday night 17-10 in overtime.
The two teams were tied at 3-3 entering the fourth quarter and 10-10 after regulation. Christian Hill led the Redskins in the win, rushing for 111 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. Curon Cordon added the other touchdown for Hurricane (5-4) on the ground as well.
George Washington quarterback Grant Wells completed 11 of 34 passes for 222 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions in the loss for the Patriots (5-4).
The win snapped a three game losing streak for Hurricane, while George Washington’s four game winning streak was broken with the loss.
