One transported from Harrison County crash

WILSONBURG, W.Va. — Harrison County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the cause of a single vehicle accident that sent one person to the hospital early Monday morning.

The wreck occurred around 12:50 a.m. Monday on Gregory Run Road in Wilsonburg.

“There was no entrapment, but the patient had serious injuries and was transported to United Hospital Center by the Harrison County EMS,” Harrison County Sheriff Robert Matheny said.

Matheny said HealthNet was called for transportation but was unable to fly due to weather conditions.

Deputies have not yet determined the cause of the accident.
