Police investigate Wood County bank robbery

WILLIAMSTOWN, W.Va. — A person wearing a mask robbed Williamstown Bank Tuesday morning, Wood County authorities said.

Police released this photo in connection with Tuesday’s robbery.

The suspect walked into the bank on Highland Ave. about 10:30 and demanded money.

According to a Facebook post from the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, the suspect had a mask on that made him look elderly.

The suspect is described as being around 5-7 with a thin build. He was wearing a gray long sleeve shirt, light gray hoody hood and blue jeans with a dark blue hat that had a red and white emblem on it.

Wood County deputies and Williamstown police are investigating.
