Morgan County deputies hope for break in I-D of remains

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — A photo I-D discovered with some human remains earlier this week in Morgan County gives authorities hope to find out what happened to the victim.

The I-D is that of Jose Castillo and was discovered with the decomposed remains on Fairfax Street in Berkeley Springs on Thursday. Authorities are unsure if the remains are those of Castillo.

So far authorities say they do not suspect foul play in the incident, but they have had a difficult time identifying the remains. They are hoping anybody who knew Castillo will come forward with information on his background.

Several other articles of identification were also discovered at the scene as the investigation continues.
