Musselman, Philip Barbour, Wirt County win volleyball titles

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Musselman won its second straight Class AAA volleyball state championship on Saturday, beating Spring Valley in the title match.

It’s Musselman’s fifth title in the last nine years.

Philip Barbour won its third straight title in Class AA, beating Winfield on Saturday in the championship match.

Wirt County, meanwhile, took the Class A title with a win over Ritchie County. It’s the Tigers’ 11th state championship since 2000.
