Gallery: Midland runs for 407 yards in win over Musselman

INWOOD, W.Va. — Class AAA No. 12 Cabell Midland defeated No. 5 Musselman 28-18 on Saturday in the opening round of the playoffs.

Cabell Midland outscored Musselman 14-0 in the fourth quarter for the win.

The Knights rushed for 407 yards in the win as Ivan Vaughn led the way with 199 yards on 35 carries. Isaiah Duncan finished with 146 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries for Cabell Midland (6-5) as well.

Cabell Midland’s other two scores came on a five yard run from Micaiah Roberts and a 31-yard pass from Jovaun Light to Zach McCoy.

Musselman quarterback Chris Fox threw for 121 yards in the loss.

The Knights move on to face No. 4 Spring Valley in the quarterfinals on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
