MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Class AAA No. 3 University used a 27-0 second half to beat No. 14 Spring Mills 37-7 on Friday night in the opening round of the playoffs.
Quarterback Clay Bailey threw for 171 yards and a touchdown in the win for the Hawks (11-0) — 83 of those receiving yards went to Evan Parow. Amir Richardson had a 52-yard touchdown catch on University’s first offensive play.
University moves on to host No. 6 Capital in the quarterfinals Friday night.
