CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Gov. Jim Justice announced Wednesday the acting Commissioner of Labor has been appointed to serve the role on a permanent basis.
Justice said Mitch Woodrum will succeed former commissioner David Mullins, who resigned in August more than two weeks after Justice announced he was rejoining the Republican Party.
According to a statement from Justice’s office, Woodrum has been with the state Division of Labor for 24 years, serving various roles including director of manufactured housing, director of licensing and deputy commissioner.
