Raleigh County man arrested for chasing school bus, waving gun

NAOMA, W.Va. — A man is under arrest after he allegedly chased a school bus on an ATV with a rifle, according to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office.

Tyler Conn, 18 of Naoma, approached the bus full of children while it was stopped along Drew’s Ridge Road Wednesday at around 4:30 in the afternoon. Conn started waving the weapon and screaming while approaching.

Conn eventually stopped following the bus and turned onto another road. Witnesses later told deputies he was screaming profanity at the bus while chasing it.

Conn has been charged with Wanton Endangerment. He is currently being held at the Southern Regional Jail in Raleigh County on $50,000 bond.
