GRAFTON, W.Va. — A 44-year-old Grafton man was arrested on a fugitive warrant Friday.
John Jay Kemper was found at an apartment between Ivandale and Thorton, according to Taylor County Prosecuting Attorney John Bord around 10:30 a.m. Friday.
Troopers received two anonymous calls of Kemper’s whereabouts.
A bench warrant was issued after Kemper failed to appear earlier this week before Senior Judge John Lewis Marks Jr. for charges relating to assault and domestic battery.
Sgt. Rob Garrison made the arrest. One other state trooper and two officers of Bridgeport Police Department assisted.
Kemper has been transported to Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
