Gallery: Spring Valley shuts down Midland for semifinal spot

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Spring Valley won its seventh straight game on Saturday afternoon, shutting out rival and No. 12 Cabell Midland 15-0 in the quarterfinal round of the playoffs.

The fourth-seeded Timberwolves (10-2) surrendered just 79 total yards to the Knights.

Owen Chafin finished with over 100 yards rushing in the win, while Isaac Howard scored both Spring Valley touchdowns with a pair of one-yard runs.

Spring Valley moves on to the semifinals where it will face Saturday night’s winner between No. 1 Huntington and No. 9 Hurricane.
