Marshall County teen dies in dirt bike crash

MOUNDSVILLE, W.Va. — A Marshall County teenager was killed Friday night when the dirt bike he was operating collided with car, authorities said.

Brandon Holmes, 17, of Moundsville, was riding on state Route 88 at around 11:30 p.m. when an approaching vehicle attempted to make a left turn onto Garvins Lane.

The dirt bike was being operated without lights, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department said.

Holmes was a student at Cameron High School.
