Pardee heats up from deep to burn North Florida

Katrina Pardee’s 4-of-6 3-point shooting led to a career-best 20 points and helped No. 12 West Virginia to an 87-59 win over North Florida.

 

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Katrina Pardee scored a career-high 20 points and point guard Chania Ray flirted with a triple-double while leading No. 12 West Virginia to an 87-59 win over North Florida in women’s basketball Sunday.

Teana Muldrow also provided 20 points and nine rebounds for the Mountaineers (3-0), who dominated the glass 47-22 and shot 53 percent from the floor.

Ray finished with a career-high 11 rebounds, 10 assists and seven points.

Tiffany Tolbert’s 19 points and Tesh Hanson’s 17 led the Ospreys (2-2), who went scoreless for nearly four minutes in the second quarter and fell behind by 19.

Naomi Davenport scored 15 for WVU and Kristina King added 14 points and six assists on 6-for-6 shooting.
