Fayette County man arrested after police find home filled with trash

FAYETTE COUNTY, W.Va. — Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man Tuesday after they say they found he and his two children living in a house filled with trash and animal waste.

Authorities charged Wayne Lee Kelly, 44, of Wriston, with two felony counts of gross child neglect creating risk of serious bodily injury or death after they found 50 bags of trash, animal feces, bugs and spoiled food in the building.

Kelly had two young children living with him at the time. Both children were younger than 10 years old.
