FAYETTE COUNTY, W.Va. — Two brothers were arrested and charged Wednesday in connection with an attempted murder in the Victor area of Fayette County.

According to authorities, Michael Todd Johnson, 40, and Joshua Wayne Johnson, 22, allegedly threatened a victim Saturday at a home. Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies say Michael Johnson aimed a shotgun at the back of a person and fired once. A woman near Michael Johnson pushed the gun, causing him to miss.

Michael Johnson was charged with attempted murder, wanton endangerment, prohibited person in possession of a firearm, domestic assault and brandishing. Joshua Johnson was charged with principle in the second degree, attempted murder and wanton endangerment.
