JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. — A helicopter landed on Interstate 77 Tuesday afternoon in Jackson County, with officials believing six people were on board of the aircraft at the time.
Officials said they believe engine issues caused the emergency landing near the Goldtown exit.
The six passengers are believed to be from a Virginia pipeline group. All six are believed to be OK.
The landing caused delays for southbound traffic Tuesday afternoon and into the evening.
