Second arrest made in Fayette County shooting

ANSTED, W.Va. — A second person is facing charges stemming from a November 19 shooting that left a man in critical condition.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department says Dalena Willis, 25 of Victor, was arrested Tuesday evening on a felony count of Malicious Wounding. She has been placed in the Southern Regional Jail in Raleigh County in lieu of $50,000 bond.

On November 19, deputies responded to River Road under the U.S. Route 60 overpass in the area of Ansted. They found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds to his face.

He was transported via helicopter to Charleston Area Medical Center where he was listed under critical condition.

Brian Willis, 29 of Victor, was identified as the shooter by the victim. He also faces a felony count of malicious wounding. He remains at the Southern Regional Jail without bond.
