Maryland woman charged with negligent homicide in Berkeley County vehicle accident

MARTINSBURG, W.Va.

An 18-year-old Clear Spring, Md. woman was arraigned Thursday on one misdemeanor charge of negligent homicide in connection with the November 14 death of a 17-year-old Falling Waters boy.

Margaret Henson was driving a vehicle when Christopher Barnes fell off the trunk and struck his head around 9:00 p.m. in northern Berkeley County.

The Herald Mail reports Jonathan Markley, 19, of Falling Waters was riding on the trunk of the vehicle with Barnes.

He fell off and sustained injuries to his right ankle

A preliminary hearing is set for Thursday morning.
